Body Language Month
My daughter had to do an English paper about men, women and their body languages. I picked up one of her books and skimmed it. I wondered how much more depth my characters would show if I added gestures, correct gestures. Running a hand through the hair or scrubbing the face are overused in my stories. What if one of them steepled their fingers? Or clutched their hands behind their back? Covered their mouth when talking?

That's awesome! For The Weaver, I did some research and printed out a paper about some of the gestures people make when they are telling a lie. Very helpful.

Very helpful. I forget to put things like this in, good reminder.
That sounds like an interesting book and a great way to show visuals of your characters. I think it will be very useful to use in writing.
I hope it's helpful, at least for me. But like my critique group says, I need more internal dialogue. Maybe this will help me know what my character is thinking as well.
I've been watching a LOT of the cancelled show, 'Lie To Me' on Netflix lately.
I LOVE how they solve the cases based on body language and facial hints.
I thought "Lie to Me" looked interesting! Thanks for the reminder, Tony!
Jill used this book for a research paper in English (I believe) last year...hilarious family analysis in the weeks that followed.
